What is a Riser Door?
A metal riser door is a steel access door designed to provide secure, discreet access to concealed building services such as pipework, electrical systems, valves, meters and utility connections housed within riser cupboards or service shafts. They are commonly used in apartment blocks, commercial buildings, schools, healthcare settings and other multi-occupancy properties where service access needs to be both practical and visually tidy.
The RapidFit Metal Riser Door shown here is a picture frame wall panel designed for wall installation only. It is available with up to 2 hours fire rating, with optional acoustic, airtight and smoke-tested performance depending on project requirements. The door is fitted with a 3-way lock as standard, uses a RapidFit hinge system for quicker installation, and can be supplied with either a picture frame or beaded frame to suit the surrounding wall finish.
