As a third party certified installer scheme we offer and carry out fire door surveys by our team of qualified fire door inspectors, all who have the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) Diploma (Dip).
Our assessors have received detailed comprehensive staged training from an experienced diploma holder and former fire safety officer and fire door installer. This training takes place on a range of building from all sectors and includes, understanding and appreciating the Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order 2005 and all the guidance documents and codes of practice. With receiving this in- depth training and knowledge our fire door inspectors not only have technical competencies in fire door compliance issues, but where fire doors are required through any given premises.
With the knowledge gained during their training they are able to identify exactly where the customer requires their fire doors taking into account the buildings fire strategy, emergency fire evacuation plan. And fire risk assessment This allows the assessor to ensure that there is no over provision when quoting for works on the back on the detailed point by point report.
Once completed the report produced following the detailed examination of every door in the premises, the report together with a detailed quotation is produced for the customer. The report states whether doors require just maintenance or replacement.
If Premier Fire Doors are then commissioned to carry the work out, upon completion a certificate of conformity is issued for both the standard of the doors used and or frames and the standard of the installation. This also includes photographic evidence of the install before during and after, particularly where new frames or linings are installed.
