Fire Door Installations (Supply & Fit)

Fire Door Installation

The correct installation of fire door assemblies and door-sets (door and frame) is fundamental to their overall performance because it will ensure the fire door will remain reliable to its fire integrity rating.

Fire Door Maintenance

Maintaining fire doors is as critical as any other fire safety provision within your premises and the life cycle of a fire door is also important and how often the fire doors are routinely inspected. It is important that all fire doors are checked at least every 6 months and a record kept of the results. British Standard 9999 covers this frequency as do other guidance documents.

Why a New Fire Door?

Buildings are usually sub divided into fire compartments to delay the spread of fire and smoke from one area to another. The compartments are usually linked by fire doors to allow for the passage of traffic around the building.

Door-sets (door and frame) have two important functions in a fire, when closed they form a barrier to fire and smoke spread and when open they provide a means of escape for occupants.

All of our fire doors are tested and to the appropriate regulations, to provide you with absolute assurance that they are fit for purpose and protect your safety.
